Saber Certification Process Overview
Here is a step-by-step guide to obtaining a Saber certificate, which ensures your products meet compliance standards:
Step 1: Audit of Clearance Documents
Before beginning the registration process, it is recommended to have a consultant review your clearance documents. This helps identify the specific standards and regulations that apply to your products and offers essential guidance.
Step 2: Obtain Financial & Technical Quotation
After your documents are reviewed, you will receive a quotation from the consultant. This will detail the costs involved in the certification process, including all necessary tests and evaluations.
Step 3: Account Creation at Saber
To start the Saber certification, you need to create an account on the Saber platform. This step is crucial if you do not already have an existing account.
Step 4: Register Shipments with HS Code
Once your account is set up, register your shipments using the correct Harmonized System (HS) code. This code classifies imported goods for proper assessment and certification.
Step 5: Apply for a Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC)
For the Saber certificate, compile all technical files and submit the requisite documents via the Saber system. Provide comprehensive product details such as name, description, manufacturer information, and high-resolution images.
Step 6: Apply for Shipment Certification (SCoC)
After securing the PCoC, review your commercial invoice and apply for the shipment certification (SCoC). Obtaining an SCoC facilitates smooth entry of your products into the Saudi market through customs.
These steps ensure that only compliant products are allowed into the Saudi Arabian market, safeguarding consumer interests and aligning with international trade standards.
